Describe your work

I consider my work to be an extension of my being. I’m putting a piece of my inner self out there to be devoured, raw and unfiltered.

In less complicated terms I’d say brooding and romanticized.

Describe your influences

Amy Winehouse’s music first and foremost. I grew up listening to a lot of early 2000’s R&B, really passionate music. Others would be Lana del Rey since I discovered her at a time in my life when I was feeling heavy black sheep energy. Then Christina Aguilera, John Legend, & Alicia Keys way back. The list can go on forever. Oh, can’t forget Eartha Kitt.

What book inspires you?

Anything by Maya Angelou or Sylvia Plath

If you could collaborate with any artists (living or dead) who would it be?

Prince.

What inspires you to write?

Heartbreak. Pain. Love. Existentialism. Navigating my life through all of this. Hiccups along the way.

Tell me a song lyric, from any artists, that always gets emotional.

All of ‘Prelude to a Kiss’ by Alicia Keys. Used to cry to it as a kid.

Runner up if it has to be a one liner, “I look to you and I see nothing” – Mazzy Star

If your work had a color, what would it be?

A prism, ever-changing.

What’s next for you?

Absolutely everything.
